Debbie Jacobs

Director

Debbie Jacobs, MBA, FACHE, has worked in the healthcare consulting field for more than 29 years. Debbie is currently the Director for the West Region for Catalyst, a Haskell Company. In this role she is responsible for developing collaborative relationships with healthcare providers in support of their strategic, operational and facilities planning initiatives. Throughout her career, she has focused the design and implementation of efficient processes and facilities that support the desired patient experience. Debbie received her Lean Healthcare Certificate from the University of Michigan and challenges her clients to think about the healthcare experience from the patient’s point of view, designing out non-value-added activities from the process, while designing in people, process, technology and space attributes that meet or exceed patient expectations. As patients play an ever-increasing role in the selection of their healthcare providers, offering accessible, comfortable, easy to navigate and efficient facilities will give organizations a competitive advantage.

Debbie received her Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management and has received the Baldrige Examiner Training Experience Certificate, National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST). She is active in San Diego Organization of Healthcare Leaders and enjoys preparing our young healthcare leaders by serving as a mentor in the Mentorship Program.
