Ted Fentin is a Partner and Managing Director of AECOM Capital and is on the investments team, where he is responsible for deal origination, along with structuring, execution and oversight of investments. Mr. Fentin joined AECOM Capital in 2015.
He has an extensive and diverse background in the real estate industry, with 20 years of experience in acquisitions, development and financing of institutional real estate projects. Prior to joining AECOM, Fentin was a Senior Vice President with CBRE in the Debt and Structured Finance Group, where he co-led a ten-person team and advised on over $1 billion of debt and equity transactions, specializing in the capitalization of core, ground-up development throughout the Western United States. Previously, Fentin spent seven years with DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners (Credit Suisse), responsible for West Coast acquisitions (deal lead for over $1 billion of acquisitions and development projects); he was also a participating member of the Investment Committee. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Fentin was with Latham & Watkins in the Los Angeles office, practicing law in the Finance and Real Estate Department.
Mr. Fentin has an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School; a Juris Doctor from University of Michigan Law School; and a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the California Bar Association. Mr. Fentin is also on the Board of Directors of the Envision Foundation and the Board of Directors for Make a Wish Los Angeles.
