As chairwoman of Fifield Cos., Randy Fifield oversees the design, interiors, asset management and marketing of Fifield’s multifamily projects in metro Chicago, southern California, and Austin and Dallas, Texas.
Actively involved in every stage of the development process, Randy has led the development of more than 6,800 units in Chicago and Los Angeles. In Chicago, she has opened at least one Class-A apartment building each of the past three years, including three that were fully leased within the first year: NEXT, a 310-unit tower in Chicago’s River North neighborhood that delivered ahead of schedule in September 2016; The Sinclair, a 390-unit, transit-oriented mixed-use development in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood that delivered in August 2017; and 727 West Madison, a new 492-unit luxury rental tower in the West Loop co-developed with F&F Realty that opened in November 2018.
Her current Chicago projects include the co-development of Logan Apartments, a 220-unit transit-oriented development in Logan Square delivering in fall 2019; and 740 Aberdeen, a transit-oriented development that will bring 188 luxury units to the River West neighborhood in 2020.
A mother of five and a well-respected civic and industry leader, Randy has mentored several women for executive positions within Fifield, where women hold 40 percent of senior positions. She has served as a board member of the Lurie Children’s Hospital and the Northwestern Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago. She was named a Chicago Power Woman by Bisnow, recognizing her as one of the 50 most influential women in Chicago commercial real estate; was the inaugural recipient of the Woman of the Year in Construction award by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago; and was named a Notable Woman Executive Over 50 by Crain’s Chicago Business. Randy also helped establish the Real Estate Roundtable in Chicago to unite select business leaders to lobby for more effective government programs.
