Rod Chu

Managing Director

Rod Chu is currently responsible for acquisition and development opportunities in the West Coast markets. He is based in the San Francisco office.

Prior to re-joining the firm in August 2004, Rod was Executive Director – Multifamily Capital Transactions at Morgan Stanley (formerly Lend Lease Real Estate Investments) in San Francisco, where he was responsible for apartment acquisitions throughout the Western Region of the United States. He previously held the post of Vice President – Investment Management at Lend Lease. He oversaw the performance of the company’s West Coast apartment portfolio containing 12 assets with more than 3,000 units.

From 1994 to 2001, Rod was a Director at UBS Realty Investors in San Francisco, serving as asset manager for a portfolio comprised of multifamily, congregate care, office and R&D investments located in the Western Region.

Rod is a licensed real estate broker in California and his real estate experience also includes working as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser at Carneghi-Bautovich & Partners in San Jose.
