Chris Benton joined the JLL Los Angeles office in December 2018 as a Senior Vice President. Mr. Benton has been tasked with starting up the Institutional Multifamily team in Los Angeles. Prior to joining JLL, Chris Benton was a Director at ARA Newmark on the Southern California Institutional Multifamily Team and has been directly associated with over $3 billion in sales and debt and equity financing in his career.
Sample transactions include the $300 million sale of Palazzo Westwood Village; the $200 million sale of 8th+Hope in Downtown Los Angeles; the $194 million sale of the Alliance Residential SoCal Portfolio; the $132.5 million sale of The Jefferson Hollywood; the $126 million sale of The Hesby in North Hollywood; the $70.5 million sale of Elevé Lofts and Skydeck in Glendale; the $32 Million sale of entitled land in Playa Vista; the $40 Million sale of entitled land in Hollywood; the $82 Million sale of Archstone Vanoni Ranch in Ventura; the $84 Million value-add sale of Fountains at Moorpark.
Prior to ARA Newmark, Mr. Benton worked at CBRE as a Sales Director on the Institutional Multifamily Team.
Chris received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a Major in Marketing and Minor in Management from the Leeds School of Business at University of Colorado.
Mr. Benton is a Los Angeles native with an extensive and intimate knowledge of Southern California and its real estate fundamentals; born in Pacific Palisades and alum of Loyola High School.
