Christine Cooper

Managing Director and Senior Economist

Christine Cooper is a Managing Director and Senior Economist at CoStar Group, providing insights and analysis of national and regional macroeconomic conditions, and leading a team of more than a dozen commercial real estate market analysts covering metros in the thirteen states of the West Coast and Mountain regions.

Previously, she led the Institute for Applied Economics at the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation, producing numerous studies and presentations for government agencies, industry leaders and legislative bodies.

Earlier in her career, Dr. Cooper was co-founder of a start-up in Hong Kong focused on automating equity transactions and manufacturing computer accessories, ultimately expanding production into China and distributing products globally. She was co-founder of the first authorized Apple Computer retailer in China.

Dr. Cooper holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Southern California with research emphasis in economic development and institutional economics.
