Steven Cox

Managing Director

Steven Cox is a Managing Director with Hunt Mortgage Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunt Companies. Mr. Cox, based in New York City, responsible for the firm’s clients in the Northeast and Florida. An expert in structuring debt financing for multifamily housing, Mr. Cox works with his clients on multifamily properties and other commercial properties across the United States.

He began his commercial real estate career with Hunt Mortgage Group in January 2005 and quickly excelled to become an originator in 2008. To date, Mr. Cox has originated roughly $1.5 billion of business. Hunt Mortgage Group originates and services loans for all types of commercial real estate. The majority of the firm’s loans are structured for funding through the Fannie Mae DUS Program, Freddie Mac Program Plus, and FHA. In addition, Hunt Mortgage Group offers alternative financing when an agency execution does not suit client’s needs, proprietary bridge financing and other proprietary financing for commercial properties.

Mr. Cox earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from CW Post University. He holds a graduate certificate in real estate finance from New York University.
