Craig Robinson is the chief executive officer of Global Corporate Services at Newmark Knight Frank. Mr. Robinson has responsibility for NKF’s overall strategic direction for occupier clients, overseeing business development, client operations and platform investments. He brings to NKF nearly 20 years of experience leading commercial real estate outsourcing businesses within large global public companies as well as mid-cap growth businesses.
Most recently, Mr. Robinson was president for the U.S. region for Colliers International Group Inc., where he was responsible for more than $1 billion in annual revenue, 5,600 real estate professionals and 150 offices. He managed all day-to-day aspects of the business including sales and operations for corporate services, brokerage, property and facility management, project management, valuations and capital markets. Mr. Robinson was also responsible for acquisitions and served on the firm’s global executive operating committee.
Prior to Colliers, Mr. Robinson was president of corporate services for Cassidy Turley (now Cushman & Wakefield). He led the firm’s global real estate outsourcing solutions for corporations, healthcare organizations and public institutions, which represented more than 400 million square feet of client portfolios. Mr. Robinson also served on the firm’s executive committee of the board of directors, which focused on firm strategy, M&A, market expansion and ultimately the firm’s capitalization.
Previously, Mr. Robinson served as managing director of Strategy and Consulting for CBRE’s Global Corporate Services (now CBRE Global Workplace Solutions). As head of the Northeast region, he was responsible for over $140 million in global outsourcing accounts, business development and the consulting service line. Mr. Robinson’s commercial real estate career also includes structuring and managing equity real estate investments and development for AIG Global Real Estate. His primary focus at AIG was Atlantic Station, a $3 billion mixed-use development project in Midtown Atlanta.
Prior to AIG, as a member of Trammell Crow’s leadership team, Mr. Robinson co-led the launch of its Government and Public Sector practice group and provided strategic consulting and outsourcing services to an array of occupier clients. Before entering the commercial real estate field, he worked for Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in Europe and Goldman Sachs in New York.
Mr. Robinson currently serves on the board of advisors for Traverse Venture Partners, a venture capital firm focused on investing in real estate technology growth companies, as well the board of managers for the Harvard Club of New York. He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council and Real Estate Executive Council. Mr. Robinson recently completed a three-year term on CoreNet Global’s board of directors, which provides strategic oversight to a 10,000-member global commercial real estate professional association, and served on the Harvard Real Estate Academic Initiative Alumni Advisory Board.
In 2014, Mr. Robinson was recognized by the Urban Land Institute (ULI) as one of its inaugural Top 40 Under 40. He is a regular panelist and speaker at CoreNet, NAIOP and Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) conferences and a contributor to CoreNet’s LEADER magazine. Mr. Robinson is also the author of a widely cited white paper, “Making the case for the ‘super nucleus’: The next generation of corporate real estate, HR and IT enterprise integration,” which was published in the Corporate Real Estate Journal.
Mr. Robinson earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and his Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
