In her role as Senior Vice President of Project Management and Construction Services, Daina focuses on building Transwestern’s Project Management Solutions nationally. Daina will work closely with the Transwestern Healthcare Advisory services group developing a national strategy to enhance the growth of our project management services for 35 offices across the nation. Daina fosters an environment of teamwork and ensures that the TW strategy is twofold, to support internal tenant improvement projects and external business development of healthcare and life science projects. Her strong communication and client service skills enhance Transwestern’s process-driven project management program.
Daina has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a Registered Nurse and the past 10 years as a nurse planner and business developer for the architecture, construction, and project management industry. Daina is an accomplished business development strategist with extensive experience in strategic account management.
With extensive Healthcare experience, she brings healthcare operational, compliance and capital project experiences for every type of a healthcare project. She began her career working in nursing homes, and hospitals as a Hospital Supervisor and CNO for Maternal Child Health and Pediatric Services. From the hospital, she moved into development of a national home health care and infusion company developing offices across the nation. From this experience, she worked closely with hospital development strategists and physicians to operate and grow a national healthcare durable medical equipment franchise with a focus on cancer and chronic disease.
With her many years of operations, regulations such as Medicare Part A and B, and Medicaid fiscal management, healthcare compliance, Joint Commission, and CDC, and capital planning renovations and ground up facilities, she moved into the architecture healthcare consulting, construction and project management planning and business development. She offers a realistic client understanding of the many challenges of capital planning and market growth strategy that support the ever-changing reimbursement and regulatory constraints.
Daina is a Licensed Registered Nurse. She has been a member of the COAA organization for several years and serves on the Texas management committee. Daina’s education includes Iowa State University in Interior Design and Pre-Nursing, and Marshalltown School of Nursing with certifications in nursing specialties and healthcare compliance.
Daina is married, with four daughters, she enjoys golf, fishing, and tennis.
