Managing Director – Small Loan Originations

Don Frankman joined RED in May 2015 as Managing Director-Head of Small Balance Loans Originations and was responsible for origination production under the Fannie Mae DUS and Small Loan Programs, Freddie Mac Small Balance Loan Program, FHA/HUD, Bridge and CMBS platforms nationally for RED Capital Group. He now focuses on originations in the Western Region for RED and specializes in multifamily and commercial real estate lending and has been a production leader during his 20-year career. Mr. Frankman brings significant real estate finance, commercial real estate valuation, and banking knowledge to RED Capital Group, LLC.

Mr. Frankman’s prior work experience includes over 1.5 years at Greystone as Managing Director and over four years at Alliant Capital LLC where he was national production manager that generated over $1 billion dollars in Fannie Mae and FHA/HUD lending activity. Prior to that, he served ten years as Vice President for Citibank Commercial Real Estate Finance. He originated and underwrote over $2 billion in commercial loan originations throughout the Western United States. In addition, Mr. Frankman served as Chief Appraiser for American Savings, First Federal Savings and HomeFed Bank. He is a graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Real Estate.
