Bill Halford leads Bixby Land Company with a focus on value creation throughout all aspects of the firm. Halford has reshaped Bixby’s portfolio through the disposition of non-strategic assets and the acquisition of institutional quality investments in office, R&D and industrial properties, overseeing $1 billion in transactions since 2006. His vision and creativity in repositioning real estate is a driving force in the firm’s success.
He was previously president of The Irvine Company’s office and industrial properties company, directing over $2 billion in acquisitions and leading the development of 8 million square feet of commercial properties. The Irvine Company office and industrial portfolio more than doubled in size during his 12 years there.
Halford’s community involvement includes having served as chairman of the Real Estate Advisory Board and the Dean’s Advisory Board at University of California, Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business, and as a member of the Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate. He is the recipient of the Good Scout Award by the Boy Scouts of America and the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Center for Real Estate at UCI. Halford is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara and has completed advanced studies in real estate at Harvard and MIT.
