Katie Kazas

Head of Capital Markets and Chief Experience Officer

Katie Kazas serves as Head of Capital Markets and Chief Experience Officer for CA Ventures. Katie oversees a $3 billion loan portfolio and acts as the primary point of contact for all of CA’s lending relationships across multiple asset classes. Her wide-ranging responsibilities include sourcing term sheets, negotiating loan documents and reporting performance of assets. In Katie’s five+ year tenure at CA, she has overseen the execution of over $7 billion of total loan volume.

In addition to leading the firm’s capital markets group, Katie is responsible for developing and implementing various corporate-level initiatives focused on workplace culture and professional development. She co-manages CA’s affinity groups – Women of CA, Social Impact and Wellness – which bring employees with shared interests together outside of their professional responsibilities. In 2017, Katie established a formal Summer Internship Program, which has quickly flourished into a prestigious career opportunity for young professionals interested in the real estate investment industry. She continues to oversee and provide strategic direction for the program.

Prior to joining CA, Katie was a Managing Director at The PrivateBank (now CIBC) in the Commercial Real Estate lending group and started her career at LaSalle Bank.

Katie received a Bachelors of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois – College of Business.

Katie was named REFF’s 2016 Women of Influence, graduated from Crain’s Leadership Academy in 2017, received REFF’s 50 under 40 award in 2018 and in Crain’s Notable Women in Finance award in 2019.

Katie serves on the Board of Directors for NAIOP and is a mentor for the Goldie Initiative.
