Chris Kennedy is responsible for business attraction for the City of Chino’s Economic Development Division. In the role of Economic Development Manager for the City, his primary responsibility is to carry out City Council Goals and Objectives. These goals are achieved by way of business attraction, retention, expansion, marketing and relationship building with local, national and international companies.
New to the City of Chino, Kennedy has been, over the last 6 years, an integral part of the success of the City of Ontario’s growth until his recent promotion in Chino. Kennedy has been involved in the Commercial Real Estate Industry across Southern California and the South West for over twenty years. During the course of his career he has provided marketing services, performed project management duties, managed commercial properties and conducted commercial real estate leasing and sales in Southern California.
Immediately prior to his move to the public sector, Kennedy established and published a commercial real estate management publication for nearly ten years in Southern California and Nevada. This publication focused on asset management and property management of commercial real estate investments.
Kennedy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Management from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a current member of CoreNet in Southern California and CoreNet Global as well as the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is a Past President of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of the Inland Empire.
