Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Mr. Batchelor is responsible for managing the day-to-day business activities of the platform, as well as the coordination of development activities with city leadership and project teams for the development and financing of multifamily projects, throughout the Southwest Region.

Career Highlights
Prior to joining Hines in April of 2011, Mr. Batchelor was vice president of development for The Hanover Company, a privately owned multifamily development firm based in Houston, Texas. As West Coast Regional Head – Mr. Batchelor was responsible for new business and for all phases of development, construction and delivery of high-density multifamily residential and mixed-use projects throughout the west coast. Mr. Batchelor contributed to more than 15-projects in excess value of $1.0 Billion.

Prior to joining The Hanover Company, Mr. Batchelor was a Senior Design Architect with The Taller de Arquitectura, Ricardo Bofill, based in Paris, France – during which time, Mr. Batchelor contributed to the design and management of several award-winning high-rise and institutional projects. Prior to this, Mr. Batchelor worked as a Design Architect for Kohn Pedersen Fox, Architects in New York, contributing to several internationally recognized award-winning projects.
