Mark is a senior housing market sector co-leader at Ankrom Moisan Architects, a nationally recognized leader in sustainable design and the design of adult care and living environments. Ankrom Moisan’s senior housing practice is informed and enriched by their additional key practice areas of healthcare, hospitality, market-rate housing, and urban design. Ankrom Moisan was formed in Portland, OR almost 35 years ago and has been designing senior housing for 25 years, including dozens of CCRCs, as well as Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities located throughout the western United States.
Mark has been with Ankrom Moisan since 2007 leading projects from concept through construction and working predominantly on for-profit senior housing projects, but also skilled nursing, healthcare, hospitality, workplace, and multi-family residential. He has worked on projects in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Colorado, Nebraska, Utah, North Dakota, and New Mexico, including collaboration with many of those states’ health departments. Prior to joining Ankrom Moisan, he gained experience with a number of architecture and construction firms in Ohio working on multi-family and single-family residential, as well as civic projects. He is a registered architect in Oregon and Ohio, and has undergraduate degrees from Miami University and a master’s degree from the Austin E. Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University.
