As Managing Director of Crow Holdings Industrial, Matt Kurucz leads the firm’s business in Chicago and the Midwest. In this capacity, he oversees site selection and acquisition, entitlements, design, development and construction, leasing, and project capitalization. Matt joined Crow Holdings Industrial in January 2018 in conjunction with opening the Chicago regional office. Since that time, Matt’s led the development of five (5) projects locally encompassing ten (10) spec buildings totaling 2.2M square feet.
Prior to joining the firm, Matt was Director of Real Estate Development at The Opus Group, where he was responsible for the leasing and development of more than 3.7 million square feet of Class A industrial space throughout the Chicago market. He also worked at WCCG, a private real estate investment firm in Austin, TX as well as at IDI, Inc. (now IDI Logistics) and First Industrial Realty Trust (NYSE: FR), both in Chicago, IL.
Before co-founding First Industrial, Mr. Brennan was a President and Partner in The Shidler Group, a nationally prominent real estate firm specializing in value-add real estate transactions. He is a founding investor and current member of the Board of Directors for Pacific Office Properties (AMEX: PCE), an office REIT that owns institutional quality properties in Honolulu, California, and Arizona. Brennan is also a member of the Technical Committee for Fibra Macquarie, (FIBRAMQ), a publicly traded company focused on industrial and retail assets, headquartered in Mexico City. Mr. Brennan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1979.
Matt is an active member of the NAIOP National Forum Groups in addition to the local Chicago chapter of NAIOP. He earned a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a dual M.B.A and M.S. degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.
