Rob McConnell

Principal

Rob McConnell serves as Principal of Ventures Development Group, LLC. As a Founder of the firm, Rob’s driving vision is to deliver quality real estate developments to the communities it serves, to provide risk-weighted and above average returns to its investment partners, and to maintain the highest integrity in all interactions with its design, construction and business partners.

In addition to overall development management, Rob is primarily responsible for structuring debt and equity financing, overview of market and project analysis, and construction management. Rob embarked on a career in commercial banking in 1986 and ultimately served as Executive Vice President for a Super Regional bank overseeing commercial, corporate and real estate lending operations exceeding $1 billion. Additionally, he held an Executive Vice President position at le Triomphe Property Group, where he managed the development firms’ equity and debt financing.

Rob earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from LSU, and a post-graduate degree from the Graduate School of Banking of the South. He resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is a member and Deacon of First Presbyterian Church, and currently serves on several non-profit boards.
