NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, is the leading national organization of developers, owners, and related professionals in office, industrial and mixed-use real estate. NAIOP advances responsible commercial real estate development, researches trends and innovations, provides educational programs, and advocates for effective public policy. The NAIOP SoCal Chapter serves Los Angeles and Orange Counties, and is the third largest chapter in the United States with a membership of over 1,000 members.
Peter Herzog is NAIOP SoCal’s Assistant Director of Legislative Affairs. In his role, Mr. Herzog is the primary policy analyst and writes most of the letters/position papers for the organization, as well as testifying at public meetings and interacting with the press. He works to form strategic partnerships with other groups and the public sector organizations, such as city and County governments, to achieve a responsible path toward the positive growth and development of our region’s economy that enhances and improves the lives of current and future generations within the communities of Southern California. Throughout his efforts, Mr. Herzog brings the Chapter’s resources to bear upon the challenges faced on any issue.
Mr. Herzog also has a wide variety of experience in the field of public policy stemming from previously serving as an elected official who was appointed to serve on numerous regional agencies. Thus, he is very familiar with working with both the public and private sector.
