Terry Thompson

Director of Real Estate Services

Terry Thompson is the Director of the Real Estate Services Department for the County of San Bernardino where he is responsible for all commercial real estate initiatives and activities for the County. The County’s commercial real estate portfolio consists of approximately 10 million square feet of owned property, 5 million square feet of leased property and numerous acres of land encompassing the over 20,000 square mile area of San Bernardino County. The Real Estate Services Department that Terry leads is comprised of 3 divisions totaling over 185 employees – Leasing & Acquisitions, Project Management and Facilities Management. Prior to joining the County in 2014, Terry was in the private sector of the commercial real estate industry. Over the course of his 30+ year career, he has managed, leased, developed, acquired or sold property in just about every market throughout Southern California. He has experience in a wide variety of commercial real estate product types including office, industrial, retail and healthcare. Terry earned his degree with honors from UCLA in Economics & Business and is a California Licensed Real Estate Broker. He is a member of NAIOP and ULI and a past President of NAIOP SoCal and current Board Member of NAIOP IE.
