Executive Vice President, Acquisitions and Dispositions
Tom Fishman serves as Executive Vice President of Acquisitions and Dispositions for Hillwood Investment Properties. In this role, Tom leads the team charged with the acquisitions and dispositions of industrial properties in target markets across the United States.
Since joining the firm in 2012, Tom has led the team in transactions totaling $4.8 billion of quality warehouse product throughout the United States and Canada. In addition, Tom plays a key role at Hillwood by working closely with Hillwood’s CEO and President to make strategic financing decisions.
Prior to joining Hillwood, Tom was a Partner at Cobalt Capital Partners, which was acquired by Colony Capital in 2013. At Cobalt, he oversaw acquisitions, dispositions and financing for the private equity firm specializing in industrial real estate. Tom started his real estate career at Trammell Crow Company.
Over the past eighteen years, he has acquired 53 million square feet with over 118 separate transactions involving major institutions and private investors, the value of which exceeds $2.3 billion. His disposition experience includes the leadership of $3.1 billion in sales encompassing 40.5 million square feet. Additionally, Tom has led the financing efforts of $2.2 billion, involving major life insurance companies and banks. Seasoned in the industry, his real estate expertise also includes asset management and accounting.
Tom has a Bachelor of Accountancy from Ole Miss and he is an active Texas real estate broker. Tom served in the U.S. Army National Guard for six years
