Brian Townsend

Brian has been in the industrial real estate market for over 25 years. Noted for completing more than 290 transactions totaling 56.3 million square feet and valued at over $2.5 billion. Brian spent eleven years with CenterPoint Properties, most recently Senior Vice President, East Coast Investments, where he led the company’s New Jersey and Eastern US expansion.

In four years, Brian created CenterPoint’s East Coast footprint from an idea to a total portfolio of 4.5 million square feet, with an estimated value of $400 million. Brian began his CenterPoint tenure focused on Chicago market, before being appointed to lead firm’s national expansion efforts.

Prior to CenterPoint, Brian worked for Duke Realty and CBRE/Frain, Camins & Swartchild. Brian is a member of NAIOP Chicago and serves on the organization’s current NAIOP Forum – Industrial Acquisitions II as Chairman. Mr. Townsend received his Bachelor of Art degree as a graduate of Lake Forest College.
